** CALLING ALL PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGED 15 – 18 **  “WIDENING PARTICIPATION CONFERENCE FOR BLACK STUDENTS”

Friday 6th April 2018, 09:45 am – 4:00 pm @ Stamford Street Lecture Theater, 127 Stamford Street, King’s College London, London SE1 9NQ

This conference is for students in Years 11 – 13 from Black African and Caribbean backgrounds. The aim of the conference is to prepare you to make informed and ambitious decisions about your futures. Our speakers will be sharing insights from their personal university and career pathways as well as providing you with professional development guidance.

The conference is free to attend but tickets are limited.

On the day registration will take place between 9:45am – 10:00am.

The conference programme will include:

* Bianca Miller, The Apprentice runner-up in 2014 and founder of ‘The Be Group’. Bianca will speak on how to build your personal brand.

* Causeway Education’s Sam Holmes, who will be presenting on how to put together an effective university application.

* A panel session from King’s College African and Caribbean Society on how to get the most out of your time at university

* Fix Up Seminar’s Action Jackson, who will be demonstrating how to set and achieve your personal goals.
