11th Annual Juneteenth Celebration: Curated Virtual Festival
10:00 am

20 June 2020

Juneteenth is the official celebration of the Emancipation of Slavery, generally celebrated on June nineteenth.
Last year our theme centered around back to the future through the lens of love. This year, we are focused on building up, supporting and encouraging our “BUSINESS and TALENT” community.
Now that the statistics are out, everyone is seeing that the hardest hit communities are African Americans.
We can invest in and support our community. Starting from Memorial Day with the African Festival, Juneteenth (Black Independence Day) and all the way through to Kwanzaa in December.
We hope you will join us in our newly curated virtual experience.
How will it work:
- 10 AM with a LIVE DJ playing music throughout the day- there may be some guest stars that will step in and say hello
- 10:30 AM – We will then open it up with our opening performances, Black National Anthem, etc.
- Top of every hour – Presentations. We will have vendors who will be actively showing you how to create, build, cook, bead, sow, and a number of other things LIVE. You can ask questions even order a kit for a follow up session.
- Every half hour – We will break out into vendor groups where vendors will be telling you about their business and what they do. What they are selling and you can book orders write on the screen just like you would if you were in person.
