In this exclusive event, they talk to Tobi Oredein, award-winning women’s lifestyle journalist, media entrepreneur and founder of Black Ballad, about the ways in which they use their words and platforms to create supportive and thriving communities.
The pair also touch on some of the causes close to their hearts, such as mental health and maternal mortality rates for Black women in Britain.
Victory reveals her own experiences of building a relationship with her baby son as she recovered from life-threatening Covid-19 complications.

Brathwaite is the author of I Am Not Your Baby Mother and Sista Sister, journalist, TV presenter and founder of Make Motherhood Diverse.
She has a regular style segment on Lorraine on ITV, is a Contributing Editor to Grazia and regularly appears on national radio and television to talk about maternal mortality rates for Black women in Britain.
Victory is an award-winning digital-first creator, Happiful Magazine’s first guest columnist, a powerful TedX speaker, presenter of BBC3’s Clean Eating’s Dirty Secrets, and the winner of InStyle Magazine’s ‘Most Inspiring Role Model’ Award.
Victory talks openly about topics that are perceived taboo: therapy, sex, trauma, relationship dynamics, diet culture, self-awareness and spirituality. Victory is the author of How to Calm It: Relax Your Mind, from #Merky Books, with a foreword by Black Minds Matter.
