All Black Connect (ABC) is New Art Exchange’s young people’s collective, designing projects that explore issues impacting young black people in the UK today.

A Black Canvas highlights black creatives from the East Midlands and allows these individuals to occupy space, using our Central Gallery space as a blank canvas.

ABC’s intention is to move away from misrepresented displays of black pain and anger into more nuanced presentations of passion, joy and radical softness.

The photographs on show have been captured by ABC member, Tracy Gnoan.

The exhibition runs from the 18th January to 15th March 2020.
