Hear from Sheffield Museums’ Community Engagement Coordinator, Cheryl Bowen about the first part of a journey exploring African art and representation in Sheffield’s visual art collection.

This informal talk shares highlights from the collection relating to people from the African Diaspora and includes works featured in the Graves Gallery, as well as several works not currently on display.

The selected works are a mix of landscape and portraits from African and European artists exploring themes of identity and belonging.
