Anissa Rochester created #blackfashionmatters campaign to showcase black designers and models during NYFW. She hoped to restore black unity, to promote black beauty through positivity and to increase black awareness.

This event will be filmed live at a rooftop in Brooklyn and featured on Youtube.

Part of the proceeds will go towards a non-profit Campaign Zero which is a police reform campaign, proposed by activists associated with Black Lives Matter. Many families continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones to police brutality and racism. At this event our hope is to infuse fashion to spread love and unity for black owned businesses.
