This year, three women published three very different books sharing their stories of motherhood. In I Am Not Your Baby Mother, Candice Brathwaite
Candice Braithwaite offers a commentary on the racial dimension of motherhood, based on her own difficult experiences. Sophie Heawood’s The Hungover Games chronicles her journey into single motherhood via LA and east London. And in What Have I Done? Laura Dockrill writes with deft and emotional honesty about her experiences of postpartum psychosis and depression.
In this live streamed event, chaired by Guardian editor-at-large, presenter of Today in Focus and mum-of-three, Anushka Asthana, we invite you to join the conversation as these four women navigate the subject of modern motherhood in a time of rising inequality, economic uncertainty, and against the backdrop of a pandemic. You will also have the opportunity to share your questions and experiences with our panel in real-time.
