On the weekend following Nigeria’s 60th Independence Day, The Koppel Project presents, in collaboration with Kanbi Projects a panel discussion centred on the hybridisation of aesthetic representation at the junction between Nigerian and Western modernity.
Presented by a panel of leading creatives and cultural producers of Nigerian heritage in multi-cultural Britain, featuring Peju Oshin, Mimi Shodeinde, Chibundu Onuzo and Ade Àsìkò Okelarin. The panelists will discuss their own experiences as contemporary British-Nigerian creatives and how their practices have been shaped or not by this stylistic duality.
You will be sent a zoom link to join at midday on the day of the event.
