Reni Eddo-Lodge, the award-winning and bestselling author and journalist, will join us for a special live streamed event.
In 2017, Eddo-Lodge’s debut book, Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race was published to widespread acclaim. The book won many awards, sold over a million copies, and sparked conversations about white privilege, the link between race and class, erasure of Black history and more.
In a new, updated edition of her influential polemic, Eddo-Lodge takes stock of the last five years, responding to the death of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement, and assessing shifts in the mainstream understanding of racism.
How do we make sense of the events of the past few years, and how do we respond to the backlash against anti racism? Eddo-Lodge will be in conversation with Nosheen Iqbal, the host of the Guardian’s Today in Focus podcast. They will be taking your questions at this live streamed event.
If you are unable to join at the time of streaming, this event will be available to watch on demand in the days following. A link to the recording will be sent to all ticket holders.
