Step Up 2020: Moving Racial Equity Forward Conference

The goal is for attendees to gain a deeper understanding and new perspectives about racial equity and related social justice issues that intersect with race, as well as, gain innovative tools on how to address systemic racism in their respective organisations and institutions across all sectors. Workshops will cover a variety of topics including how to address institutional racism, white supremacy cultural norms, microaggressions, decolonisation of education, the intersection of race and LGBTQIA, Systems Change and more.
The Keynote Speakers for 2020 are acclaimed racial theorist and author Dr Joy DeGruy, Victor Lewis and Shumeca Pickett.
Adults and youth from all backgrounds and experiences are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The conference was created with the intention of offering workshops for people with different learning interests and levels of knowledge and experiences to advance racial equity. Whether you’re new to the discussion or a long time expert, Step Up is for you.

We are offering a discounted ticket for educators, first responders, veterans, students and LSC alumni who are unable to pay the full price. Additionally, there are limited FREE tickets for individuals who wish to attend but are unable to pay at neither of the pricing points being offered.
