Actress Taraji P. Henson, founder of The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, which is dedicated to eradicating the stigma around mental health issues in the African-American community, joins us for a powerful and timely conversation around the critical work of equalising healthcare disparities for communities of colour amid the current pandemic.
Moderated by Elyse Fox (Wing member and founder of Sad Girls Club) and featuring guest speakers including Dr. Alfiee Breland-Noble (founder, The AAKOMA Project, a 501c3 organisation focused on mental health in youth of colour); Dr. Jehan (Gigi) El-Bayoumi (M.D., F.A.C.P. founding director of Rodham Institute); and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (long-time public servant and advocate for New Jersey families, elected in 2018 to her third term in the U.S. House of Representatives and the first African American woman to represent New Jersey in Congress).
*Note this conversation was pre-recorded and will premiere on June 2. There will not be a live Q&A.
