Join Luisa-Maria MacCormack as we welcome the second of our amazing guest lecturers, the incredible Bolanle Tajudeen!
For this special lecture, Bolanle will deliver ‘The Genesis of Black Feminism in Art’ which is an introduction to how Black women artists have politically and socially organised in the art world.
Taken from her blockbuster ‘Art in the Age of Black Girl Magic‘ course held at the Tate Galleries in London, the class will also look at what criteria(s) can used to label work as Black feminist or intersectional.
Bolanle Tajudeen is the founder of Black Blossoms – an expanded curatorial platform showcasing contemporary Black women and non-binary artists since 2015.
Bolanle is also the lead tutor of Art in the Age of Black Girl Magic; an in-depth course delving into the historic and contemporary practices of Black women artists, lecturers have been delivered at Tate and the Southbank.
