Rapid Recovery Festival: In Partnership With Do It Now Now And Nesta
Nesta’s Rapid Recovery Challenge event series is designed to ensure that we are all empowered to access key tools that will help us succeed post-pandemic. Our goal is to work together to reach 100,000 Black people in the UK over a four-month period.
Do it Now Now is working with community partners, influencers, and leading organisations within the Black community to upskill and empower Black people, while sharing information about what resources are available to them.
Meeting of Minds is proud to have been selected as a community partner, and our Founder Uchechi Eke will be delivering two online events in August 2021.
Do It No Now will focus on three core areas which have been identified as most under resourced for the Black community:
- Employment Skills
- Financial Skills
- Skills for Young People
The event series will consist of a total of 117 events; 72 led by partners and 45 led by Do it Now Now through their initiatives, My Moon Landing, Black and Good and Voltage Revolution.
Meeting of Minds will deliver two FREE webinars under the theme ‘Financial Skills’.
The first event titled ‘Housekeeping Rules’ is on Thursday 19th August at 12 PM. This is a popular and sell-out webinar that focuses on meeting the due diligence requirements to satisfy and apply for grant funding and/or bid for new tender opportunities. The second event is on Friday 20th August at 5 PM – ‘The Win Strategy’. In this session attendees will learn the technical writing skills that make grant applications come alive – a healthy mix of story and stats! For more information and to register click here
I strongly recommend attending both sessions, especially if you are new to fundraising, grant writing or procurement.
NB: These events are ideal for any organisation seeking to raise funds via a range of sources, and thus are suitable for: start-ups, charities, social enterprises, private companies and entrepreneurs.
