Meeting of Minds X Caramel Film Club: ‘On The Record’ Screening & Private Conversation
I have teamed up with my generous friends at Caramel Film Club to gift 6 followers the chance to watch ‘ON THE RECORD’ this weekend!
The film is a searing exploration of the costs of coming forward, ON THE RECORD turns up the volume on one of the biggest #MeToo stories in the music industry.
The film documents the devastating toll the disclosure has exacted on the lives of several women who describe having been assaulted by music mogul Russell Simmons.
Survivors Drew Dixon, Sil Lai Abrams, Alexia Norton Jones, Jenny Lumet, and Sheri Sher share the insidious, systemic fallout that have changed their lives since their assaults that bring cultural and workplace issues to light.
Deeply illuminating and packed with powerful and revelatory insights, ON THE RECORD’s narrative also includes interviews with prominent leaders, activists, journalists and academics, who speak about the unique bind women face when dealing with sexual violence in society.
