AVOCADO+ Applications open for the UK’s only accelerator programme for BAMER-led organisations
AVOCADO+ is a one-year accelerator programme offered to a limited number of Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic & Refugee (BAMER) led charities and social enterprises.
This intensive and innovative programme , supports six areas: Financial Fitness, Operations, Impact, Effective Leadership, Networks, and Awareness. This is based on research conducted by the Charities Aid Foundation as key components for resilience and sustainability, essential for smaller non-profit organisations.
Participants are trained by sector experts and will have 1:1 sessions with experienced consultants, supporting you with your fundraising capabilities and development plans.
The course is worth £3,000 and offered for free thanks to a range of partners.
To qualify you must be:
- A small charity or social enterprise
- An income below £150,000
- At least one founder is either Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic or a Refugee
By the end of the programme successful organisations will receive:
- A Diagnostic Review of their organisation and a bespoke development plan
- Intensive Training Sessions on Non-Profit Essentials, Financial Literacy and Income Generation, run by industry experts
- A dedicated consultant, offering practical (including bid writing and fundraising support)
- Networking opportunities with key grantmakers
- Coaching and Mentoring
- Access to fundraising networks and events
- Fast track access to all grant opportunities and annual Dragons’ Den event
- Lifetime membership of the AVOCADO alumni community, and more
